1Introduction

1. Introduction

We love your rug as much as you do, that is why we have decided to create this guide to help you to maintain, enhance appearance and take proper care of your rug, ensuring that it remains beautiful for years to come. Please note, however, some characteristics of our rugs when they are brand new :

2Creases, ripples and curls

2. Creases, ripples and curls

Due to the folding for shipping, wrinkles and creases may appear when you unpack a new rug which has been rolled up. Simply turn it face down and it will flatten itself in just a few days.

3New rug smell

3. New rug smell

New rugs may have smell caused by dyes, yarns or from being packed in plastic wrap for a long time. This should quickly disappear in well-ventilated rooms.

4. A rug that's built to withstand anything ?

Our rugs are easy to clean, long-lasting, resistant to moisture, bleach and stain. They are designed to be used in high traffic areas and to withstand everyday accidents caused by children or pets and with a virtually non-shedding pile. Even though our rugs have all these amazing features, you still have to take good care of them. To do this, we need to talk about cleaning, maintenance, and care.

5Spills

5. Spills

Clean up spills immediately if possible. Once a stain is set, it becomes very difficult to clean. Never rub a spill, as it will become embedded deeper in the rug. Instead, blot the stain gently with a clean cloth. Use lukewarm water to remove any residual stain. Always use clean water to remove any remaining detergent, and a clean dry towel to absorb any remaining moisture.

6Dried stains

6. Dried stains

Mix a mild detergent or carpet cleaner with water. Soak a sponge or cloth with the mixture. Then, wipe the stain gently and thoroughly. Rinse the sponge or cloth each time before repeating the process until the stain disappears. Warning: Rugs tolerate water but don't love it. While rugs made of synthetic fibers have a hydrophobic structure, it doesn't mean they should be soaked with water during cleaning. Excessive moisture can damage a rug.

7Machine washable rugs

7. Machine washable rugs

These soft and thin rugs are designed to withstand water. So, you can easily toss them in the washing machine without any worries. Use your regular detergent but avoid bleach. We recommend delicate wash cycle at30 ̊C,using a mild detergent, spinning at 600 rpm maximum, and finally, air drying.

8Vacuuming

8. Vacuuming

We recommend regular vacuuming of your rug at low to medium power to keep it free of dust, lint, and hairs. Our rugs are indeed compatible with robot vacuums, as well as traditional vacuum cleaners. We advise to refrain from continuously running the vacuum over the edges, as this could weaken them, especially the corners.
